MEETING THE EN Standards

EN60950 and EN61558  are the standard specifications we work to as a transformer manufacturer. The following EN norms apply to the finished product but we can state that our designs will meet the standards you require. Please call to discuss the exact classification you require.

EN60 065          (Brown Goods)  EN60335 (White Goods & Battery Chargers)

Although all of the Kaschke platform parts are constructed to meet the basic standard, care must be taken to check your individual specification as the standard does change with higher working voltages and or Class levels.

As an example EN60335 Class II states a 6mm creepage. However if you require Class III then you require 8mm creepage.

Kaschke Isolation System  UL 1446

As a manufacturer of an isolation barrier for a transformer Kaschke have now been approved to meet the UL standard. The hyper link below can take you directly to the site listing.

The vast majority of Kaschke Smartpower transformers are constructed using UL listed material with our default design to KIS-03.

The KIS-03 level meets the isolation levels and to a temperature of 130 degrees C.

There are two further levels that we can also manufacture to but they are normally custom designs.

KIS-01          155 degree C operating temperature
